I want to get into one of these but I have a few questions.

  1. Which one promotes more cooperation and team play? I love teaming up to accomplish goals!
  2. Which one has better voice communications?
  3. Which one is the least frustrating in terms of bugs, quirks, cheap deaths, lag/disconnects, cheaters, match-making, etc?
  4. How bad does Origin suck?
  5. How cool is Call Of Duty Elite?
  6. Are either of these games good on the 360? Thinking about that also.

Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated. I wish I had the money to just buy both but even one will be a stretch. Thanks, friends! :D

1. BF3. 2. BF3. 3. its a 50/50, BF3 has bugs and somewhat cheap deaths while Mw3 has more lag and matchmaking. 4. Not THAT bad, but should have been taken out. 5. Sucks, unless you like over-priced DLC. 6. Does it matter? You are on a pc gaming forum after all....but yeah MW3 is better than BF3 for consoles, at least. BF3 has a substantially smaller amount of players for multiplayer than the pc version, and the graphics arent as good as the pc version either.

In all honesty it depends on who you ask about what game you should choose. However, with the recent slate of hackers attacking Battlefield 3 lately I would hold of on that. Both games are great in their own right. So you an get one now, and get the other later. I also feel like the community in BF3 has dwindled down quite a bit, as to where in MW3 is it still thriving.

It's in beta for a reason.

Granted, should it be required for games being only in beta? No.

1. bf3 2. bf3 3: most bugs: bf3 most quirks: 50/50 most cheap deaths: mw3 most disconnects: bf3 most cheaters: 50/50 frustrating matchmaking: mw3 frustration overall: 60-40, in favor of bf3, which is still very frustrating. 4. not as bad as i thought it'd be. 5. ................ 6. dont get bf3 on 360. now let me ask you a few questions: which do your friends play more? do you like vehicles? do you like killstreaks? do you like destruction? do you like faster-paced or somewhat tactical gameplay? those questions will help you determine which to get.

This of the two games it pains me to say mw3 is better than bf3. Bf3 is nothing but Medal of honor with even bigger maps

BF3, but I am starting to get bored of it a little. Perhaps I've probably played too much of it. As for MW3, I'm really trying to like the MP but I just can't, it just feels bad, heck I've grown more accustomed to playing Black Ops now than MW3.

MW 3 on the PC has terrible maps and is really imbalanced. It also uses a cruddy matchmaking system and has dated visuals and poor sound design. Gameplay consists of sprinting in circles and occasionally running into someone. Avoid it at all costs.

BF 3 on the PC is fun when you are on a good team and enraging when the teams are stacked against you. It also has weird net code issues that can lead to instant deaths from body shots. Air is overpowered. The vanilla game has some good maps and some bad maps, but Back 2 Karkand is where the best maps are to be found. Teamwork is mostly coincidental; if you happen to encounter a team mate as assault or support you might drop a health/ammo kit, but its mostly just people running around doing their own thing. Something has to be said for the great visuals, sound and feel of the weapons though. Overall, its not as good as Bad Company 2 and a far cry from the quality of BF 2/2142.

Get Red Orchestra 2. It has much better infantry combat than the above games, the atmospere is better, and the sense that you are working with your team is greater.

MW3 has smaller maps and maxplayers is set to 18. Also, there's no COD Elite service on the PC. At least not yet.

BF3 has large scale maps with vehicles, aircrafts and its up to 64 players.

Both are great.

+1. I would recomend Bad Company 2 over any of them: is better designed, is better balanced, is cheap and has a better ratio between cost/contents.

BF3 has overal very bad maps, with the Back To Karknd map pack being better than the whole vanilla game; the campaign is mediocre at best and the people only plays the coop to unlock the FAMAS and so. Infatry/vehicle balance is at almost BF2 levels of "broken" and despite the superb visuals and good performance the lens flare/flashligh blindings are utterly annoying. Oh, and the respawn system in TDM is utterly useless: you reborn totally random behind and before enemies without taken into consideration their location in the maps (as the early days of Black Ops but x10 worse).

Modern Warfare 3 has probably the worst mp maps of the franchise in this generation, and the p2p system really hurts the gameplay, making the experience way worse than Black Ops, which provided a more stable conditions to play and also delivered better designed maps.

BF3 is better than MW3 in almost all areas. Campaign in MW3 is slick and no thought is required to join matches. Funnily enough no thought is required to play it either.

Man, every time I play BF 3, more stupid **** happens.

Just had a game where I was 1-hit killed from sniper body shots twice, got spawn killed by a smoke grenade, then layed an entire clip of M240B into a sniper at 10 meters; his body jiggled and reacted as if being hit, but he took no damage, and preceded to slowly turn around and shoot me in the head.

the server had 17 ping.

I'm done with this game.

Stay clear from both MW 3 and BF 3 if you know whats good for you. Just uninstalled this garbage so i'm not tempted to go back again.

BF3 if you can handle the fact that there are only 3 maps that are acceptable by any standard which are: Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm, and Caspian Border and the fact that it's hard to find servers that aren't 16 v 16 or less since the game after all is designed around 12 v 12. MWF3 if you really like COOP, the MP as far as I'm concerned isn't as good as that of MWF2(which is in fact also far superior to the MP of COD 4 and COD 2). It of course also depends on your preferences which we know nothing about since you've provided next to no information, but independent of that I can say that there are probably plenty of games that do the sort of MP you're looking for much better as these games are just big names that sell a lot, but they wouldn't do nearly as well under a different IP.

  1. Battlefield 3 no doubt. Call of Duty makes you feel like Rambo and Battlefield makes you feel like a real soldier.
  2. I'm not sure, but I'm going with Battlefield 3.
  3. Modern Warfare 3
  4. It doesn't suck, but don't expect something like Steam
  5. It's okay, I guess.
  6. They're both good, I prefer MW3 on the 360.

For the pc I would go with BF3, MW3 would be better for consoles. Why not try both (I bet you have friends that have one of them) and see which one suits you. Or if you have played a battlefield game recently or any CoD in the past couple years then they are largely the same with obvious changes in graphically appearances.

-Battlefield is far superior in co-op and team play. It has squads (group of 4-5 players) and although anyone can pick the class of their liking, the squads can be fine tuned to each fulfill a specific role and stick together to be more effective. CoD sadly has no real team play incorporated like this. Teaming up to accomplish goals is a great mechanic in gaming I think we'll be seeing more of in the future. -Communication is tough to say. B3 doesn't have in game communication, not sure about MW3 but to be honest, B3 uses an external piece of software to manage communications and it works fine (ventrillo, etc. - free; you just need a headset). In MW3 it's really just run and gun around a circular map trying to get a great k:d ratio. That's fun for a bit, but it always had me wanting for more of a battlefield scenario and that's when I discovered Bad Company 2 a couple years back and never went back to CoD. -Both seem to be pretty good for lack of bugs. They will have them of course but they are absolutely stable and can/will be patched likely in the future. -Origin is pretty useless and just exists so EA doesn't get pushed out of the market (social networking is huge and Nintendo stock plummeted last year at E3 for announcing no social networking feature for new Wii U), interestingly enough, I just read this morning that Nintendo has announced their new social networking called 'Nintendo Network' or something similar. -No experience with Elite. -As for 360, I would still go with B3 even though it won't be near as nice as if on a PC rig (wink wink, something to consider down the road :P). Console versions of BF3 play at 30fps instead of 60fps like on PC versions of the game. CoD MW3 runs at a steady 60fps, but while providing a bit smoother frame per second rate, they truly lack in all other departments that DICE and Battlefield has now excelled at. There is so much in BF3 that if you play both, it will become harder and harder to stay with MW3 because you'll have those moments often where you go to do something vital, and you remember CoD doesn't have it but BF3 does. Plus, vehicles, fly jets, shoot down jets, etc. It's truly an amazing experience.
