Wow onfive, if you would have read through this thread then you would have understood I have both games. Sigh man. Guess I should reply to your "4 times as many people playing mw2 at there are bc2 on steam". ALL mw2 has to run through steam. Steam is not the only place to get bad company 2 nor is it the database for the max players so there is no way to prove or disprove anything by looking at steam stats lol. 100,000 mw2 players on PC at this moment. Only thing we can do is wait on EA to release information on such things to draw any conclusions. I hope you aren't trying to look at just steam stats and making claims because of that. I guess when people decide to trash talk and are proven wrong they have to continue trash talking.[QUOTE="jedikevin2"]

and theres one of them now... not stereotyping, just don't like how everybody is saying MW2 is a bad game when its not. If you like BC2 better thats fine they're very different games but saying that MW2 sucks and theres no reason to play is just stupid, theres 4 times as many people playing MW2 as there are BC2 on steam.

I love how Battlefield fanboys whine and whine and defend this game. It's horrible, sure you must've been horrible at Call of Duty, but that's no one elses problem but yours. Quit denying people of their opinions simply because you have a different one. This is a forum, not your personal Battlefield forum. Should you be defending on it on Battlefiels own website I would agree with you, until then you should hold your tongue.
Lol. It is not possible to be bad at MW2 the game is so noob friendly that you could sit a newborn and it would pwn all the other players.
just wanted to add another point, but the teamplay forced bfbc2 is outstanding. The few matches that i hated were the ones where i was just pointlessly running around and trying to shoot. the really fun part was when i got into matches and my team worked together, spawning and moving and doing stuff together. we dont need mics, but we were able to to play together pretty well.
ive only played mw2 on the 360 with my friends, but in terms of the core controls and basics, they are two pretty similar games. however, its implementation, gameplay and dynamics which make me prefer bf way more.
In Call of Duty, for the most part whoever sees the enemy first wins. It's very basic gameplay requiring little strategy except camping. In BF:BC2, because of the gameplay modes, vehicles etc.the game actually requires strategy.
So if you want a run & gun game, get CoD, if you want deeper and more team-based gameplay get BFBC2.
It is simple, if you want a game that says it is about modern warfare but is actually more akin to unreal tournament with a lifespan of 2 to 3 bullets, then get MW2. If you want a game that involves teamwork, huge epic battles, and more, get BFBC2.
Yes I am biased but for good reasons ;). I won't lie and say BC2 is PERFECT, but neither is MW2. I love BF games and BC2 is no exception.

This is SO true! I hopped in on 360 for the first time against a couple of guys that play it all the time and i cam in a close second, and sometimes first. It is very noob freindly which is not cool with me lol.

BC2 is sluggish and not nearly as smooth as MW2, When I run I would like to straff and such, i feel like I am playing nintendo nes with BC2 because you cant run as smoothly as MW2. Also, spawn killing and over powered tanks are the most annoying thing ever. I prefer to work for my vechicles. I think BC2 is a great looking piece of crap. I play both online and find myself quitting BC2 and playing MW2 because sniping is so damn easy in BC2 and tanks are just incredibly powerful.
So far, I've never seen a decent review comparison for BC2 vs MW2. People avoid reviewing BC2 in comparison to MW2 for good reason, there are a lot of slow clunky things in BC2 that just suck. Both games have their wins and fails, I just so happen to enjoy MW2 much more. I want a smooth looking ride that is ugly, not a great looking ride that is clunky.
I am not sure why people and BC2 claim realism when it takes half a clip emptied into someones chest to kill them, tanks blow up from a small c4 charge or RPG, and sniper bullet physics that do not fire the same way twice in a row in scope, there is no weather condition monitor for you to scope by, so why have it? I've not seen anything in Bc2 that is better than MW2. I see a lot of fanboys with no real examples of what makes it better.

The vehicles work absolutely fine in BC2 (if you don't use it someone should be able to take it) as opposed to the non existant vehicles in MW2. The running is great in BC2. No you cannot run (holding shift) and move at a diagonal. It makes sense for realistic reasons and for gameplay reasons. The game would suck if they changed that. Spawn killing is practically non existant in this game, moreso then almost any other FPS. You did say one thing right though, BC2 is certainly a better looking game then MW2.
p.s. - tanks are not overpowered and it is a blast to kill a tank with an engineer.
[QUOTE="Koltr0nTheGreat"][QUOTE="Cdscottie"] *Looks at the catalog of PC games published by EA and looks at the previous BF games patching schemes* Uh huh. Gotta love it when you spew out bull and consider it as a fact. If you ever looked at any Battlefield game in the past, you will easily see that they tend to fix most exploits or issues people have with forthcoming patches. They even were nice enough to release the purchase add-ons for free to anyone who did not have them already. So stop with the EA is ending the world crap and admit that your "facts" don't hold water.Cdscottie
Because of the connection issues have been fixed so fast, and hackers are already being reported. Nice try, but you can't beat the hackers like you think.
Probably won't be able to stop all hackers but unlike MW2, the servers are dedicated and allow for an admin console. If there server is active, chances are there will be an admin to kick said hackers/exploiters. The best defense against hackers are a good set of server rules/admins. And as for the connection issues, yes it was unfortunate but people are currently playing it now without a hitch and loving it. (This is coming from a guy who doesn't own either game, so don't even try the fanboy crap with me.)And their "dedicated servers" have just helped them tremendously, right? LOLOL

So confused who you are trash talking koltron. If you are speaking to me, I hope you read this whole thread before making a comment. I'm not defending the game in anyway in the discussion with onfive. Onfive came in and made a claim that those agreeing to bc2 as a better game in the poll are "mw2 boycotters". I stated "so you stereotyping everyone onfive?. He then stated I was one of them and stereotyped me in that group. There is no whining nor is there an attempt in this case to justify bc2 as a better game. I stated my opinion on that subject on the first page.I wasn't directing that comment towards you, I was directing that comment towards the "I think the poll speaks for it's self rather than the one whiney cod fanboy" Perhaps you shoudl consider reading the forum.

It appears I misquoted you by accident and sleeplessness. But, I wasn't directing that at you, now you know.

Yes, yes it has.Multi-player wise, MW2 have basically nothing on Battlefield. Single-player wise... it doesn't have that much on Battlefield either.. =P
There are things they have to fix for BF:BC2, such as make the server list not suck as much, make a better search filter (the abilibty to turn hardcore servers off, please), make the "history" server thingy work, so you can put servers in your favourites, and my friends dissapeared and I had to send friend requests again, what's up with that? And why not have all the graphics settings in the options in the game menu? I have also heard that BC2 doesn't support 64bit OS, which means that you can't use more than 2GB of RAM for BC2, which would suck if true. I don't have more RAM than that, though..
But then again, what game doesn't have minor annoyances? I'd rather play BF:BC2 over MW2 any day.

I prefer the multi-player of Call of Duty, personally. It's much more fast paced and exciting gameplay experience. When I'm playing BattleFAILED online, I find myself to be extremely bored, even when I'm slaying everyone on the other teams. It just seems so boring. I do love the single player campaign of BattleFAILED, but I definitely would give the edge to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in that department too. It's much more exciting, again.

Don't confuse Dedicated server (A server that is controlled by a player, company, or clan) to the global catalog servers that were down earlier. MW2 has dedicated global catalog servers, so that point is mute. Yes they had issues but again, they are running now with little flaw. Please Log In to post.
