I think the Battlefield series is a hell of a lot better than the Bad Company series, but if they're gonna make another Bad Company game, FFS give DICE the time they need to craft a single-player that doesn't suck. BC1 was purely meh. Mirror's Edge was really good. BC2's was one of the most boring SP I've played. Then they rush BF3 and have to make an incredibly generic plot against some Russians. It's not like DICE has to try at making godly multiplayer. They have that mastered.
will that one come with origin? or by that time will it be optional

It started several months ago and EA is expanding to 3rd parties, do you really expect the biggest company in the industry that wants to add achievements and a loyalty system to Origin to somehow change that?
Anyway, they can keep it, BF 3 and B2K is the last garbage I bought from them, DICE needs to either make something fresh and exciting, not technically broken and monotonous, or at least something new and different from the conventional shooter.
There's one thing that's extremely good, besides the DLC they're making for BF 3, 2014 means they have free time, free time = enough to make a Mirror's Edge 2, maybe even 3 (since they did plan a trilogy back when ME was created).
there is a feeling that this game does not need a plot, just more realistic to focus on it. it will always be like day in the life of THIS AMERICAN SOLDIER
Didn't buy BF3 and probably won't get this one either after buying BFBC2. The way DICE has taken this franchise has been a disappointment for me but I did have fun in the early BF days so it wasn't all bad.

More battlefield is always cool with me. Bring it on. I will rock BF3 until then and if BC3 looks good and plays better then count me in.BC3 might have more destruction that BF3 so that's always good. Also no one should be surprised by this at all. It was always going to happen.
Im also looking forward to more Mirrors Edge on that engine.

Not unexpected. Development should be 10x smoother because their engine is now done on all platforms. Creating content with a completed engine is much easier than building an engine at the same time you're creating content for it.
DICE's team is very large as well so it should be a pretty robust game.
SP more like BC2 and MP a mix between BF3 and BC2. A nice assortment of small infantry combat (Arica Harbor) and more open, behicle based (Oman, Wake) maps, and you got yoursef a winner.
Im much more interested in Respawns secret 2013 project than BC3.bonafidetk
They've been working on it since 2010 but they did have to build a new engine which took them at least a year. They're trying to compete with scifi titles like Halo, Gears, and Resistance but the main thing that worries me is EA's habit of not funding internal testing which has crippled BF games since DICE had been acquired by EA.

Most online games go through initial phases of feedback from community so they know what people want and hone in on the perfection side of things.No online game is flawless out of the box. I'd much rather have perfectly smooth even gameplay rather than more server options etc. Make the base game good first.
It's a new engine and a lot of other new things too, it will have problems. People still complain because it's not BF2, they need to stop complaining about what it doesn't have and focus on what it does have

Hello, I'm an avid Forumfield player and I must say, the auto-censorship mechanic is quite frustrating at times! It's not wise to show any sort of discontent when EA is in control, I've learned this first hand.
I think that the chances are that Battlefield 2143 will arrive a year before (2013) than Bad Company 3.
What I would like to see in Bad Company 3 (and in Battlefield 2143) is a total absence of Battlelog. I don't care Origin, I understand Origin (and Steam) and I'm able to accept it. But I'll not buy any other game using simultateously Origin + Battlelog. One of them must die in order to gedt my money.

Right. Nobody seems to remember the mess BF2 was when it released. They patched the hell out of BF2, and some patches made it even worse! (Remember being able to drop buggies on snipers heads as Commander?) They finally got it right with path 1.41, over 1.5 years later.

Exactly. It seems people just deep down wanted this game to fail for some reason so they completely over exaggerate a lot of stuff.
They will get it right eventually. but I am still enjoying the game immensely. Just fix some syncing errors, like a guy could level me with half a clip but from my screen it seems like 1 shot. And me running into a guy, opening on him, and he kills me in 2 shots first. He probably shot first on his screen but it's annoying when I feel like I did.
