The 32" sharp 1080p model isn't a bad option. It has great blacks, great picture for 1080p sources, and there is no blurring of the image when playing games. The only thing is the color temperature is a little off. A little tampering with the settings and you could fix that a bit. Also there is an option to eliminate overscan. It eliminates any zooming of the image, so the entire picture is displayed on screen. All tv's will have overscan, so check cnet to make sure it is at least 3% or less. Or if they have an option to eliminate it.
Also the Samsung LNT-3253H is a great panel. Great colors, blacks. Just scan makes sure that you see everything by eliminating overscan. It is also cheaper, and 1080p isn't that much sharper at that size, and when it is, it is because you are about 2-3 feet away.
Those are some cheaper alternatives to that sony. If you want to save some cash. I might wait to read a review from Cnet on that sony. See if I want to purchase it myself. Only time will tell.
