My 30 day trial of norton on my laptop has run out and since norton is complete garbage, lol I need a different all around internet security protector. Whats the best one that I should get? Im using vista so one that doesnt take up much ram etc would be best. Thanks .

I have tried them all through the years, and though it isn't perfect, I still consider AVG to be the #1 solution. You can't beat free, and it works a lot better than the majority of the paid ones.

I will have to agree on the avg for free....

However for vista if you want something small an still powerfull get NOD32.

nod32 by far. it has really REALLY helped me on alot of issues. and its liteweight.

Just keep in mind that when you install it you weigh up your system specs so you know how much of a system hog you want AVG to be. because if you choose high on the background mem thing and you realise its to much of a hog, you gotta remove and reinstall...

NOD32/Kaspersky are the industries leaders. Avast is what I use and in my opinion it's a lot better than AVG.

If you do decide to buy one, Here's another vote for Nod 32. It's lightweight and quiet, I can not believe how much Norton says Oh were doin this and then here comes this. It's anti-virus nagware.

unistall norton as quick as possible because its one of the worst anti-virus out there, i would go for AVG all the way.
