I am looking for a cheap blu ray player. I dont care about the bd live or anything like that, I only care about the picture quality.

i cant say anything about quality. i consider myself rather techno savvy but nowhere near the level of some audio- and videophiles. those guys can pick out a needle in a haystack. that aside, i have seen some amazing deals at a local best buy. theyve got expensive players 200, 300, in that range, for about 125-175. they worked perfectly, only catch? a customer returned them without a box so they couldnt box em back up and pass em off as new. they were brand names too. i considered buying one myself but i had spent more than enough recently so ill have to wait a bit longer

Thank you. I have seen many cheap blu ray players, but I don't know which ones look the best. I am also weighing in buying a ps3.

what helps me a lot are the reviews. check out amazon, or specifically, some stores websites, since you know you can get the product in person if you wish. those typically are very true and come from everyday people to people, like i said, who are audio/videophiles

I suggest checking out the Sony BDP-6360. Go to Sony Style.com and go to the Blu-Ray player section. I'd link it, but Gamespot stupidly banned the word Style in messages with links.

The Sony BDP-350 is the best for under $200.

True. But it's getting a little tough to find. At least for me it is. Amazon has it, but the damn thing costs $400, which I'm not willing to put out for a Blu-Ray player.

Yeah. I got mine at Best Buy over the summer and it was one of only a couple left.

It's a shame too. It's a great player.
