Best earbuds for $50-$80?

I just basically like bass and soundstage and something that will not break, at least not for a very long time.

HiFiMAN RE-0 is most likely a better option as it will offer greater detail/sound stage when compared to the S4. While the S4 does have a slight emphasis on bass, HiFiMAN generally goes for a neutral sound signature, meaning a balanced low-mid-high.

Few things about this:

Re0 are bass light. They are neutral headphones that sound very natural. The biggest comlpaint is the lack of bass.

The Amazon link is NOT a good place to buy them. The seller there does not offer a warranty. You are better off buying the Re0 from HeadDirect themself.

The bass is said to open up when more power is provided.

Yet again, the trade-off of detail (RE-0) and bass (S4).

Another option for TC if he's willing to spend a little bit more are the Shure 215K ($92), great for bass and the wire is detachable.

I couldn't tell, as I'm sure the Dre Buds are all bass.

My recommendation would be to pick up a pair of Sennhiesers. I forget which model, but awhile back people were raving about a $30 pair that compared to $100 Shures/Bose. Also, since you specifically mention earbuds, I'm assuming they'll be for walking/etc/that kind of thing. In that respect it doesn't make sense to buy outrageously expensive buds--better off with some over-hears. IEMs are bad for the ears

S5i klipsch, rugged version of s4 is overpriced but is much tougher. If you take care of them than s4 should be durable enough. I had them for a year already.

Re0 is supposely insanely good for the price if you love instruments/details but lacks bass of course. Not sure about the upper ends but iem at midrange still has a small soundstage compare to headphones.

If you're serious and not just here to troll, then I'll tell you I would never purchase Beats headphones. They're terrible, even if I was a bass fanatic I could do better with a Paradigm Shift E1/2/3.

How good are they in terms of quality? These are the earbuds I use these earbuds. Are those better than the ones you mentioned?

I bought some Sennheiser earbuds for a fairly decent price and I've been satisfied with them. You can find them for your price range fairly easily on amazon. The bass is nice, the volume can be low but I blame this on compression typically. I would say shop around on amazon or something like that and see what people are saying about each brand at your price point.

The phillips ones that came with my MP3 are surprisingly good and offer brillian isoloation (I use them when playing drums so i can actually hear the music).

But for any serious listening i'd use my Sennheisers.
