im bored with my games at the moment so i was just wondering what dus everyone think is the absolute best game of all time, no matter when it was made or wot price.
Alright, time for a serious answer: Star Control II, Starflight, or System Shock 2. The first one, at the very least, is legal freeware, so PLAY IT NOW!!!
personnaly i think the game everyone should have in there collection should either be soul calibur 3 or armymen 3DO (if no ones heard of this game look it up its a classic!)
I am sure that if you ask me this question in another day or so, I would have a different answer because I love so many games.
But, as of right now, I gotta say Deus Ex is my favorite game of all time. It was my first exposure to the RPG system, and it was a beautiful shooter with solid graphics, good plot, awesome gameplay, good enemies, and a cool upgrade system for augs and guns.

Plus they run great on Everyone's P.C's (No System hog's.).
Baldur's Gate II. Black Isle was in my opinion the greatest team of game designers ever (closely followed by the dream team that worked on Chrono Trigger). Rest in Peace my greatly esteemed friends. Oh and screw you Interplay, you money grubbing bastards. You had the greatest game design team ever, and you threw it away.
I pray that Obsidian or even Bioware (they got close, then sold us out and went to consoles) can step up to Black Isle level but sadly I don't see it ever happening. Maybe Dragon Age will bring a renaissance.
They could have done a number of things if they cared about their subdivision, rather than just sending them memos that as of the next week they would no longer have jobs.

Run before I kill you, GTA is the most overrated, piece of crap ever created. I'm gonna go with Half Life 1
Supreme Commander is awesome. I'm playing the beta with the thing that allows you to play without a key against AI or on LAN or through that other place if you wanna play multi. But yea its nice...
Infact only problems I have even with the beta are that the largest map is only 20x20km and when you change camera angle it goes back to default as soon as you let go of the mouse button/ALT key.
