I'm getting a laptop next week, and I'll be able to play in the same room with my brother on his laptop and my other brother on our desktop. What games are best to play on a LAN, if they are online or not?

I really enjoyed playing Titan Quest + Immortal Throne expansion pack with my brother in law over LAN. It's online over IP is very flawed due to no closed server support (lots of cheaters), but over LAN with a friend/brother you don't have to worry about that. If you pick classes that compliment each other (like a healer/ranged/mage that supports a front line melee) it is really good.
Plus, it's extremely cheap these days, you can get both the game and it's expansion for $20 off of steam.
Awesome i'll def have to try it out.
So how about some other games before I result back to playing WoW and convincing my brother to get his own account..I really don't wanna get back to that addiction
Im kind of in the same boat as you on this, but I can give you a pretty big list of RPGs with non-MMO multiplayer options. I'm not sure if these all have LAN, but they all at least have some type of multiplayer option (some may require internet). You'll have to look at the specifics yourself.

I meant in coop. And FEAR doesn't have coop. And name the games. I've probably already played them all.
