EDIT: If you are willing to wait approximately until June, then the new AM3+ Bulldozer CPUs will come. It will cause the price of AM3 CPUs to drop, therefore you will get better value for money

OS = Operating System ie Windows 7 etc KB/M = Keyboard/Mouseso you have a copy of windows?[QUOTE="wolverine_97"][QUOTE="mattamomo"]
ok i need none of them
mattamomo
well i do
but not within that budget
that is just for the actual pc
So that budget doesn't include an OS?Atm blurays are quite expensive and are not worth the price.
Have a look at this deal from scan(the top one), youd need a gpu. Something like thiswould be good. This comes to 510.67. And is a great buy in my eyes

It is £400 inc VAT, but it doesn't come with the GPU, that is in the second link.[QUOTE="mattamomo"][QUOTE="Tim_Millington"]

Im going to post a build, im assuming the budget doesn't include the case?I spent exactly £500.16 on the rig in my profile, 4Gb 1600Mhz RAM, i5 2.8Ghz processor, ATI 5770 and Antec 300 case. Not too bad but i bought this PC in December so you could probably save a few quid or get a slightly better GPU for the money. Scan.co.uk are generally the cheapest around for parts and great service. One thing was i used my old monitor, KB/M, and even my DVD-RW and HDD.

no it does not
OK BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK WITH A MORE EXPERIENCED MEMBER OF THIS FROUM THAT THESE PARTS ARE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY AND THAT THEY ARE GOOD QUALITY AND COMPATIBLE
Motherboard - Will support the new AM3+ chipset when it comes out.Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3
CPU - Phenom II X4 955
GPU - 2GB HD 6950, will unlock to a 6970, much better than a HD 5770
RAM - 4GB
HDD - 1TB Spinpoint F3
DVD Drive - Blu ray is too expensive without sacrificing on other parts (ie, GPU)
PSU - you may need a more powerful/better PSU, im not completely sure. MAKE SURE YOU CONFIRM THIS WITH ANOTHER(MORE EXPERIENCED) MEMBER ON THIS BOARD
Total:£530, If you don't want to spend the extra £30, then you can get this GPU.
Post your case, it will help to see if everything is compatible.
EDIT: you may want to wait until the new AM3+ CPUs come out around June, It will cause the price of AM3 CPUs to fall and you will get better value for money.

i dont mind spending the extra £40 for a bluray player
mattamomo
Not without sacrificing GPU power.you could get yourself an i5 2500k for £500 aslong as you dont include the OS in the price.
adam0926
there needs to be a balance between the two. Otherwise you'll get bottleneckswhats more important then
the cpu or gpu

Advent Gaming PC from Currys PC World here in the UK costs £429.97
It is a core i5 6 GB RAM, HD 5750. It's not on the website. But I saw it last week when I went to Curry's PC World. That might be good Though the graphics card itself is only £50.
A HD 5750 is not £50, its a bit more: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-xfx-hd5750-ddr5-single-slot-ip-5x-fan-dual-dvi-dp-eyefinity-pci-e-cardAdvent Gaming PC from Currys PC World here in the UK costs £429.97

Actually I muddled it up. It was a HD 5570. Just too many numbers, sometimes hard to remember.
But yeah the card I saw in that Advent Gaming PC was a HD 5570 not 5750. That's about £50.
