i have no idea and im not really sure how to find out either. whatever came with the computer. its from HP. i'm fairly uninformed when it comes to computer tech.lonewolf_kaiWell I am positive that you will need a new power supply.You have to open your case and look at the wattage on the power supply and the 12V+ rating.
You can also give HP a call and ask them about your power supply.
i just looked it up (duh! /slaps my forehead) its 400 watts, 26 amps minimum. i've never replaced a power supply unit in a computer before so i may be up the proverbial creek

hes doesnt need a heavy duty corsair as his rig inst demanding,
ut if u wanna pay for it be my guest, ive put that in a few builds ive done for ppl, im usin the 620w right now
but all u rally need is this:

You may have been lucky but look at the terrible reviews for this PSU at newegg?If the TC has tight budget then he should atleast go for this.
And since when was a Q6700,4GB RAM and 8800GTS not demanding?:?
