Well, what size do you really want? 32", 37", 40", 42"? Then you can find out the best option out there for you.

Well I ordered a 32" Samsung LCD from Fry's Electronics (If you have heard of it, If no you can google it and check out their website) for $699 Which is totally worth it for that TV, However they are sold out at the moment on that TV, but if you are short on cash they have an LCD for $447, but they also have LG and Toshiba 32" LCD's for $749 and a JVC 32" for $699. You can compare the specs if you like but that is my recommendation.

first off what country are u in and i would stillgo with the samsung. I looked for reviews on the others and found nothinggood about the phillips and the hitatchi said it was 1080p but had a native resolutionof 1366x768. So i dont know what was up with that also the samsungs price was still the cheapest but can you get it where you are.

If you sit far away from the screen (like the size of the screen times 1.5) you can get a bigger 720p TV (like 37 or 42). You need a massive screen or to be sitting very close your tv to really be able to spot the difference between 1080p and 720p without being told to search for a difference.

That is the exact TV that I was talking about that I bought at Fry's for $699 (I got lucky ;) ) . I have two of those right now and I must tell you that the picture is amazing. I highly recommend this TV for anyone.
