yeah... i boguth HL1 a 3rd time just because of this mod... first on retail when CS was at its top, then again for PS2 and because i lost my account on valve i had to buy it again, too bad the brazilian comunity of NS its pretty small but still great game to play...
Never played NS, but Ive played Tremulous, which functions and plays similarly to NS from what ive heard (It was develeoped before NS was,but both NS and Trem were based off of the Gloom mod from quake, so you cant say it copied it). Its currently a free-ware game you can download, and won 2nd place in "Best Stand-alone game of 2006" at ModDB.org. I remeber loosing many hours to that game, its very good (as I assume NS was).
I don't remember the name of the mod, but it is for Neverwinter Nights, and you play as a member of the Night's Watch. A must play for all Martin fans. Also the Imperial mod for Praetorians.
Oblivion has a ton of really high quality mods, SDMOD for HL2 is great, Jagged Alliance 2 has a couple high quality total conversions, Freespace 2...the source engine project was increadibly ambitious and the mods for it are great.
Quake 1 is probly the first game that got truely modded. And had the best mods. I'll go with Rocket arena for Quake1, because it was the 1st mod to impliment a stop during gameplay, meaning fight and if u die you wait till next round which spawned ideas for other mods (counter strike) And other good ones like team fortress. Yep, thanks quake.
