my cousin is looking to buy a new pc with this months pay and hes got about £300 to spend (around $600 i think?), and he wants a moniter that could play ps3/360, and to be able to play games like cod4 and bioshock on max and maybe crysis on mid....

im really crap at this stuff and isit possible to get a pc that good with £300? (even if the parts are selected....)

Sorry bud, to play bioshock on max you need a video card that will cost 200+ (maybe even 400+).

No way will you get a monitor and a computer for 300 pounds, impossible unless you steal your parts... Then you wouldn't be buying it would you :P?

Possibly. What montor is he looking at because that would set you back some? and the PC would suffer because the monitor would cut a large slice of the money.

I would spend at least £500 on the computer alone.

Will play Crysis on Medium and will play BioShock on high.

You would need to buy the monitor seperatly.

just one more question...

a pc with an AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+

3gb of ram, a crappy nvidia geforc6150se(lol), and a 32-bit operating system...

would the graphics card be the only upgrade needed to play some games on high or??

If the mobo has a PCI-Express slot then I suggest you just buy a 8800GTS 512MB and you should be able to max out all games apart from Crysis which you could play on high at 1280x768 res with decent fps.

Closest i could come to £500, if you drop the E7200 for a E2180 it'll save you about £44
