too bad that one is ridiculous =/ the break system at the base and whiles that look like car wheels and the shift knob seat adjuster... it's all just a bit too muchMuD3
I think I'll bite on this one. The others are way too expensive for me to experiment a purchase. $400 for what COULD BE a huge improvement over my POS executive office chair I purchase several years ago could be what I need.
For home, or home office use, I don't recommend leather. Apparently, over time, these things deflate and become "mushy" and they eventually slope or decline. Sometimes my butt would slide and it hurts my lower back.  Correction, that racing chair looks to be leather but it's "tight" leather upholstered properly unlike the saggy ones you find normally.
I agree with you that the style is a bit too much, but no one is peeking through my window to check it out. :P As long as it's comfortable. Now, time to check out their return policy if one of mechanical parts breaks. haha
Edit: Â Thanks again Darksus.

let me know how it turns out... could be worth getting and just trying to get rid of or replace some of the ridiculousness that's going on.[QUOTE="Elann2008"][QUOTE="MuD3"]too bad that one is ridiculous =/ the break system at the base and whiles that look like car wheels and the shift knob seat adjuster... it's all just a bit too muchMuD3

let me know how it turns out... could be worth getting and just trying to get rid of or replace some of the ridiculousness that's going on. For sure. I'm going to order it now, but in black which will cost extra but I'm not a big fan of red. Gotta match my black and dark wood furniture. :PAhhh thanks! Good thing I came back to check the thread. Looks like the added cost is for the wheel colors. Hell I could just paint them, but your find is even better. Thanks again. For some reason, I have a hard time navigating this website lol :Pthey had a black red and gray at the same price i thought?

35k and it only has a 500GB hard drive.www.elitegamingchairs.com have a pretty good range of PC Gaming Chairs. I just bought the Lorell and am very happy with it. Wish I could have gotten an aeron though!
edit: Uh, sorry I didn't realise how old this was.
Necro be damned. This thread was very useful to me when searching for an affordable gaming chair and I feel it might help others to post about two which I found that are relatively cheap ($150 currently but might be only so low due to a sale) but extremely comfortable and sturdy. These both meet what I consider to be the bare minimum required for a gaming chair especially if you happen to weigh near or over 250 lbs. They are both from Brylanehome.com.
The first is a mesh chair which I went with because they are supposed to be better for your back during prolonged tasks. The other is not mesh but still very comfortable and even sturdier for exactly the same price! (at the time of this posting anyway). I feel it's important to have a chair with extra weight capacity even If you could get by in a standard chair which are usually rated for 250 lbs capacity maximum just in case your significant other decides to sit in your lap or simply to make sure the chair lasts for a long time and can stand up to a lot of abuse.

Also, Overstock.com has a lot of cheaper mesh chairs like this one if you don't need the extra weight capacity:
