I don't know much about computers, but I am interested in pc gaming and would like to have a better experience. I've already upgraded my ram to four gigs and the next thing on my list is graphics cards. I'd like to spend under about 150 for one. What is the best brand and model? I've been hearing a lot about navidia and ATI Radeon whatever that is.

The ATI HD 4770 looks like it is a pretty good budget card. However, your computer has a single core processor and it will hold you back in many games (You can play most of them, however, on lower settings). If you want to get into maxing out graphics on high resolution games, then you will need a new rig all together.

Might be best to do a number of things. I used to work for PC World and when it came to graphics cards there were alot of things to take into consideration. Wont list all of them but age of pc and which graphics card slot you have (AGP/PCI-express) where the main two we came across. If you can find a reputable store go in and have a chat, if they sell them whole have a peek inside and see what it looks like! You can sometimes get a graphics card too big for the computer if your updating and easily forget about cooling it! Also for graphics card reviews I beleive 'Tomshardware' was a good site to look at (sorry not checking atm) I currently have an old p4 HT 3.2 with 2 or 3gb memory and an nVidia 9800gt, seems to work well, even though I have to ask my brother how to update it (he is the expert when it comes to the software) Hope that helps! x
