Best RTS game you have ever played?

Out of ll the RTS games you have played(if you have played any), which one is your favorite?

Although I do like Starcraft II, I will have to go with Supreme Commander(1 not 2). It feels great having the strategic zoom and hundreds of units.

My two favourite would be World in Conflict and Company of Heroes.

Too hard to pick. Red Alert 2/Company of Heroes/Sins of a Solar Empire. They're all too different to say one is better than the other. SF_KiLLaMaN

Men of War: Assault Squad by far. Best multiplayer I've played in years.

I love World in Conflict. :)

Supreme Commander : Forged Alliance. Nothing has surpassed it yet for me; that game was ahead of its time.

C&C Zero Hour. Just finished a skirmish match :D.

I only played Napoleon: Total War, so I guess that would be it.

Although not a true RTS i would have to say Rome:Total War, hands down

Next would be Sins of a Solar Empire and then Company of heroes.

Homeworld. No other RTS I have played has ever matched the fun and nostalgia I have for that game. I really hope Relic is making a new one now that they have the license back.SerOlmy

I have put more time into Starcraft 2 than any other RTS. Part of that is because I wrote a FAQ/Walkthrough for the game, but I played through the campaign more times than other games and got much further into multiplayer as well. Before SC2 I had never played more than 10 competitive matches in an RTS, but SC2 I played about one game a day for a year or so. I also got into watching pro players which I never did with other RTS games. I think I watched one Age of Empires 2 pro game, but that was it until SC2. Custom games I have played about the same amount as previous RTS games.

Theres a lot of good ones but the RTS franchise I get most excited for when I hear of one coming out is C&C. They are my favorite.

My top three, from best to least-best:

1. Starcraft
2. C&C Generals: Zero Hour
3. Warcraft 3

Red Alert 2 and Age of Mythology.

I don't know if it will be the best, but I'm getting the feeling that Crusader Kings 2 will be up there for me.

Homeworld 1 and 2.

Add also Sins of a Solar Empire.
