If you're looking for a multiplayer game, I really like Insurgency. HL2 mod that's all middle eastern combat. Fairly realistic in terms of gunplay and lots of fun.
Dont get rainbow six vegas 1 and 2, they may be good action games but they are CRAP tactical shooters. You are better off buying rainbow six raven shield, operation flashpoint and arma, The swat series is also very good, i would reccomend the original ghost recons aswell. Also keep a lookout on Arma 2, it really is shaping up nicely. http://www.arma2.com/
