Best Tank in RTS History?

The baneblade alone could murder all of the other tanks listed with ease. It's just one of those weapons you look at and go why? Now only if they put the stormblade in the next Dawn of War game....EndersAres

In the fluff, of course. Gameplay-wise, the Land Raider trashes the Baneblade without even using the Machine Spirit.

Download the Steel Legion mod (it's for Winter Assault and now I believe also Dark Crusade). It adds the IG Steel Legion as a playable race, and their main relic unit is the Stormblade. :D It also adds the badassery that is Commisar Yarrick.

I always liked the Stealth Tank in C&C. Much funner to use than the Mammoth Tank. Especially since you could get 4 or 5 of them, move 'em to the tiberium patch and "vwoooop!" take out the enemy harvestors. They were also great as invisible SAM sites. Sure, they couldn't take much damage, but it didn't matter unless you tried to go toe to toe with something.

And, while not the best tank, my favorite tank would be the Flame Tank from C&C. It was an insti-kill against infantry and chewed through structures like a hot knife through butter. And, to top it off it looks like this giant, fire-breathing beetle.

anyways, i feel like a traitor, but i'd have to go with Baneblade (sry Mammoth, i still love you, but the Baneblades got 11 barrels of hell).

Land Raider can beat Baneblade. And it's already been proven.

Thats because a baneblade isn't anti armour.

A shadowsword would turn a land raider into scrap before it had a chance to react.

Same with any other tank on that list.

And a scorpion could own anyting on the list before it was seen.

Yes, it's the variant equipped with the Volcano Cannon for taking down titans.

The Baneblade is a jack-of-all-trades tank, meaning it can take on pretty much any type of target, though it doesn't excel particularly one way or another (relative to other chassis variants). It most definitely can destroy average and even larger tanks with ease. Two Lascannons, a Demolisher Cannon, and a Mega Battle Cannon make for a pretty formidable arsenal against armored targets, not to mention the autocannon for light armored vehicles. It doesn't need to specialize against armor to take out the likes of a Land Raider, it's a super heavy tank, while the Land Raider is just a heavy transport tank.

Mammoth Tank... though I'll admit my current favourite vehicle in an RTS is currently the Science Walker. Frags-o-Plenty

Science walker is not a tank, it's a mech from Universe at war. :)
