I made about a $700 paycheck this week, and I need to get a new TV. The one i'm looking at currently is a Vizio 37" LCD. Here's the link for it:

Any suggestions on a TV?

I helped some friends pick out that same TV a couple of months ago. They love it. Vizio is a great brand and their prices are awesome. Go for it.

Go to Best Buy/Walmart find the ones that fit your budget, and look at them. Quality is mostly in the eyes of the beholder IMO. I sat looking at a bunch of TV's and ended up with a Sony Bravio.

I would get the Panasonic TH-42PX80U 42" Plasma TV if you can find it for $699. It delivers much better picture quality than any LCD TVs in that price range. The Samsung LN32A450 32" LCD TV is another good choice if you're looking for something smaller and/or less expensive. I wouldn't buy that Vizio when the Panasonic plasma will blow it away for just a bit more. You probably won't find anything decent with 1080p in that price range, but you won't see any difference in screen sizes under 50" anyway.

You should definitely bump this budget up to $800, that is when things get awesome.
