bigpoint studio's is most well known for.. ...........game that suck and their CEO who talks alot of smack for no particular reason.

today mr smacks alot and few of his buisness cohorts are trying to steal away the call of duty licensce for themselves. they want to steal it out from under treyarch's nose.. they hope to turn the franchise into a browser based experience.. speaking personnally id like to walk in their and make some of my own "calls of duty" with a round upside the face but it appears activision is actually buying big point's sob story. we may yet see call of duty cut down by a bad buisness move.

I wouldn't be surprised if Activision gets a company to develop a CoD browser based game but I doubt it will replace the main series. Kinda like BF Heroes...

"It helps that console games introduce game mechanics to players, but we can teach the other side of the industry how to monetise its players better."

Right on! That's what it's all about!

It doesn't even matter if the game would be any good. It just needs to have "Call Of Duty" stamp on it. Ofcourse Bigpoint want's a cut from that massive cake...

we may yet see call of duty cut down by a bad buisness move.

more money = good business move. they don't care if it means cutting down the game to it's bones, but i too think that this has no effect on the main series.

Activision are interested in this opportunity because they can then act on their comments about using a subscription based payment model to charge for multiplayer.

It`s becoming lucrative. EA acquired Playfish and implemented a dependency of their browser game for Dragon age 2. Looks like another way of implementing content keys, because a wast majority of gamers would never never play browser games.

Yeah, I mean, why even announce that? Since when have multiplayer first person shooters had a price for playing online? Activision makes me sick. I haven't bought a game from them in a long time and I plan to keep it that way for as long as Bobby Kotick is CEO.

Are you people serious? Activision is repeateadly making clear that they dont charge for multiplayer as long as you have the game. REPEATEDLY and yet you guys ignorantly keep believing the they WILL CHARGE you!! I just dont get it? Do you have a reason for it, or you just hate and you turn every crap rumor you hear into a fact just to hate activision? Seriously!!! Like when people said crap like "juggernaut pro" and treyach made it clear that those are internet rumors and there is nothing like it in the game.

I don't believe they will charge me for it. I'm just saying how stupid it is to advertise that on the box.
