Okay, for a while now, ive been thinking about buying bioshock. I heard about it's greatness and such, but when I played the demo, i was really disappointed. There's some stuff I didn't like:

The game is confusing...enemys jump at u randomly (esp those flying machines) and it's difficult, esp if ur low on lightning, to kill them. A buncha things are going on at the same time, making the game confusing as hell.

The guns are way to orginal and have nothing special, they are also really hard to hit enemies, esp those flying machines. You have low ammo, takes alot of shots to kill an enemy with, and there's always the problem with recoil.

The enemies are dumb, nothing special really. Dumb Ai + Movements are really original...they just "chase u, smack u, repeat"

The lack of guns is another disappointing matter.

So I'm not really impressed with the demo, should I still buy the game? If not, what game would u suggest I buy? I was thinking of getting resident evil 4 or assassin's creed once its out (Apirl 9, I think), but I don't think 7900 GS and 2.0 Ghz will be able to run on it...

When I played the game, the splicers often retreated and did other stuff. They aren't the best AI, but the game and everything was enjoyable. Did you atleast like the atmosphere of the game?

"The guns are way to orginal and have nothing special" "The enemies are dumb, nothing special really. Dumb Ai + Movements are really original". Contradictions do not help your credibility. http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/original

the game gets far more intense, multiple enemies and multiple types of enemies, many different plasmids and lots of running around. Plenty of weapons that even have upgrades.

Saying "original" means that they are... original.... new.... I'm not sure how to explain that...

The demo for Bioshock really wasn't impressive, but, the game is GREAT.
You get more ammo, enough money to replenish your money (I had a full wallet for the last 2/4 of the game)

The first level/beginning, is really just to set it all up. It gets way more fun after that, at least in my opinion.

And you get used to the shooting.

You should at least buy it, and try it out, or rent it for the xbox 360, then if you really don't like it, sell it.

Get Bioshock instead or RE4 or Assassin's Creed for PC.... >.>

You mean unoriginal. Original is opposite of what you're trying to say.

Thats funny, cuz the games wasnt really good either lol.

Nah, its a "solid" game but its definately a letdown. Dont buy it, as your experience in the demo is what the game is like...only for 10 more hours.

Go buy the Orange Box, Crysis, or STALKER if you need a good shooter.

I NEVER understood that Original meaning thing. I mean, look at Original Flavor potato chips. That means the basic, normal kind. How come original also means new? English is retarded.

if you're considering getting Bioshock over RE4, then there's something wrong with you. Bioshock's a pretty good game, but there's really not much here for $50 considering that this is a singleplayer FPS (which tend to not last very long). plus, you can't sell this version of the game. i say wait for a (big) price drop if you're looking to get Bioshock.

It's not too uncommon for words to have multiple meanings, relative to the contex for which they are being used, at least thats what I think?

Also I have Bioshock on the 360 and it is F'ing sweet, so it shoud be even better on PC. Plus it is very well optimized so I would imagine that it would run well on your system.

i like it. it's a lot of fun. there's really nothing wrong with the game, unless you're comparing it to ss2 and saying how bioshock's just a revamped version of ss2 - which is a fair criticism. but if you haven't played ss2 or have played it but have a short memory (like i do), then you'll enjoy it. it's set in a very interesting world, has a good story (for an fps), good mini-boss battles, decent guns and great plasmids, and a great twist (granted, similar to ss2 but still...) to the plot near the end. it's worth playing.

For some reason i licked the DEMO more than he full version. I was very concentrated on the demo and the atmosphere was just awesome, but when i got my hands on the full version, after th first 3 levels i started to get used to it and started to realise how easy it is (on the hardest difficulty) and i got use to the atmosphere, i wasn't impressed by it and after the 6th mission i didn't even bother finishing it. the only reason i was afraid at the start because there is when i first encountered the big daddy, an extremely weak monster, every time i faced one i ran out of bullets and i had to throu him back the grenades to kill him :). Good game with awesome atmosphere, but that is only if you don't get used to it fast ot you don't start analyzing its pros and cons.

Everything you are complaining about is what makes a good FPS. Maybe you should stick to Mario and other light hearted kids games if this seemed to hard for you.

@fireandcloud, well the name of the gif is claw so is easy to assume shes doing a claw, about the name its about SC, my fav unit in the game is the siege tank as simple as that. The song u talking about is Tank from cowboy bebop? if thats the case i agree it is pretty good ^^?.

actually, it wasn't, but i do like that jazzy tune as well. i was referring to a song by korean pop/rock singer seo taiji. i thought maybe you were korean based on the pictures of the girls. but i guess that girl in your sig is probably japanese anyhow. :) but thanks for the explanation.

It is a good thing you weren't convinced to buy the game based on the demo... because the game is basically the exact same thing as the demo recycled a hundred times.

Get the Orange Box, STALKER, Crysis or something more compelling and worthy of time and money.

There is nothing confusing about the game: its an action game, hardly confusing.

Its not about the guns, its about the powers. The guns have been under the sea for 20 years. They are not going to be exactly new and shiny. There is plenty of ammo throughout the game once you explore.

Why should the enemies be super smart? They are mutated zombies. They are not going to be tactical.

The demo is a bit annoying how you can't save it.

The full game however is excellent with great visuals, lots of action and plenty of things to do. Its just a really fun and intense game.

Bioshock is a pretty good game, but I found it to be a bit overrated.

Hard? No, more like super-easy because of various things like hacking turrets and the fact that dying hardly even matters. But then when has dying ever mattered in save-anywhere PC FPSs anyway?...

I really think you should still buy Bioshock. It is a very rewarding and polished game.

Wait for the reviews of Ass. Creed.

You like Stealth aye? Have you played the Thief games? You should get all three if you haven't yet!!

Wow I have never seen this much Bioshock hate. I loved it. Great game and it's too bad so many people here probably never gave it a chance. O well. Don't buy Assassins Creed. It's a very repetitive game and there is not much to do. Unless you want to collect hundreds of flags for no reward. It definitely didn't deserve all the sales it got. The review here is probably one of the most ridiculous I have read in my three years here. Overrated for sure.
