What main computer parts will be the smartest to purchase during the black friday sales? I want to build a computer with

i7-2600k
gtx 570 or Radeon 6970 (or higher from either Nvidia or Ati)
at least 750w modular psu
asus z68 mobo
8gb ram

I will be using the computer for Rendering videos and 3d animations therefore I need 2600k and 570/6970 for gaming most games on high or ultra.
So what parts will most likeley be on sale on Black Friday? Currently, I'm looking at tigerdirect for parts because it doesnt hav tax for CA residents.

buy a cpu cooler and overclock ur cpu if u gonna render video a Oced cpu it will help in that matter a bit but it gonna help more in gaming :) You might look at HAF 922 For chassis in the sales : Some OCZ-Z series / Corsair HX / Enermax are usually modular

I'm not an expert but i would think that a 2500k and 560 ti or 6950 will be enough and cheap as well :D

400R aren't cooling efficient it as much airflow Then HAF 92; as for Corsair H80 ? unless you don't mind 2 fan at 2500RPM (60 dba) and it huge price tag for 2C more cold.. id suggest something like Coolermaster 612 + 2 fan (a bit loud) / Thermalright Archon (quiet but expensive and in low quantity)

you got other cooler in choice too but yeah unless you gonna OC at 5.0Ghz from 4.9Ghz with air : i don't recommend corsair cooling atm
Asus Z68 Deluxe might be in sales for Black friday else look for V-PRO

just wondering, arent those video cards way above whats needed for SC2 ultra settings? also, does everyone need to buy a cooler? or do fans on the cases suffice?

no there not way above for 1080P : specially if you enjoy user map setting where 10-12 player is present ie : Nexus war : but the minimum id recommend is GTX 460 1GB or HD6870

will h50 be enough then? I wont be doing extreme overclocking. I do think HAF 922 will be better since it has more space for airflow.

It water cooling at budget that fail it self that why im suggesting airflow Like Scythe mugen 3 / Coolermaster Hyper 216+ Evo can be found at nice price for sales : there also Coolermaster V6GT / Coolermaster Hyper 612 /

if you want watercooling it still not any soon worth it unless at black friday there a huge deal for a Dangen / Switech Cpu Waterblock / Pump / Radiator Kit it still very expensive to make ur own single loop cpu cooling that overcome Massive Tower Heatsink airflow in term of noise & thermal conductivity it made for the extreme overclocker lol

on the other hand a budget cpu cooler will do alright to get to 4.5ghz / 4.7Ghz you spend more if you want 4.9Ghz : HAf 922 is indeed a good solution it as lot of fan from stock and i don't recall much chasis for that price coming as cold at stock value

how would HD6870 play for SC2?myungstunna

sc2 doesn't depend on the gpu....i play the game religiously, and the biggest factor for sc2 performance is the cpu. Id get the core i5 2500k and any gpu thats in your budget after that, if sc2 is all you want to play.

but doesnt water cooling provide better cpu cooling?

and specifically what are the problems of water cooling? because I've read the reviews of the h50 and h80 on Newegg and Tigerdirect and they're good products.

There good product but only H80/100 or Antec KUHLER H2O 920 which i think are ovepriced and excessively loud so for the price that is why Tower Cooling are still better : you get 1-2 Fan on it and it beat a Budget Single loop Water cooling in 2 factor : price : noise : one give at 35-45dBA the other at 62-70dBA

saying with a cooler like Thermalrigh Archon you could probably get 4.9Ghz Intel Core i7 2600K without problem as long the motherboard and the cpu chip is Good :) it depend not everyone reach 4.9Ghz they say but that hugely affect by airflow and motherboard

if you can find H100 or Antec KUHLER H2O 920 and don't mind the noise it gotta be like the best cooler you can get in the 120$ backet : I don't know which one of those two the best you can check some benchmark it usually 120-140$USD

but so yeah it upt o you if you get like Antec H20 920 Kooler or Corsair H80/H100 Over a Tower cooling if you don't mind the noise and the big buck for 4-5C more cold it still stable aaccording those test ofc that was i7 980X (6 core) but it should cool as much a I7 2600K :P and it should mean it safe for 4.9/5.0Ghz

What i think ? I don't know much of it from personal review but from big Review Website it seem show it decent at least the Evo Revision with direct pipe contact you get 2 fan of around 1,600RPM (70CFM - 85CFM) on them and it should do Great OC : perhap a i7 2600K Oced at 4.7/4.8Ghz it a good cooler per $

unless you really buy the cooler at black Friday then something like usually 55$ could be 40$ :) Like a thermalright Venomous X or Scythe mugen III / Coolermaster Hyper 612

Like yeah if you really thinking of wait Black Friday to order the pc you could perhap find a more badass cooler : but still 212+ EVO IS awesome

Note to everyone: If you guys find great and interesting deals, please post the link(s). Thank you in advance. :) I wouldn't mind snatching up another GTX 580 if the price was right, although I couldn't imagine it being cheaper than $400 on Black Friday. Who knows.

Hopefully something like the Noctua NH-D14 is on sale. It's one of the best air cooling cpu heatsinks on the market. I use it on my GTX 570 and i5 2500k build.

Should he wait until Cyber Monday to buy, or are the deals that much better on Black Friday?
