I know the game was $9.99 through GetGames last week, but when I tried to buy it, it said the offer wasn't available in my region. So now Amazon has it for $14.99 and I think it's a good price. Do you think I should buy now, or wait for the GOTY version?

My main concern is that the game has like 5 or 6 DLCs and GOTY editions usually come with DLCs included, or am I wrong?

I think Amazon has Borderlands GOTY, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 Seasons pass for $22, get that. I wish they had seasons pass on sale, I'd buy that by itself.

I would wait until GotY and nab a 4 pack on Sale at Amazon or Steam to play with some friends.

It's a fun game, but it can be easy to stop playing and not feel compelled to pick it back up, so if you have all the expansions at once and 3 buddies with you it's easy to plow through. I've played with friends and solo, and it's something you want to get friends for, but I think the weird way of them doing DLC (having some stuff on the season pass, some stuff not) means I'd recommend you get the full package later on at a better price point, especially if you don't already have friends trying to get you to play.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Since I hadn't played the first one either, I ended up getting the bundlepalooza from Amazon which includes: Borderlands 1 GOTY, Borderlands 2 and the Season Pass with all the expansions for $19.99. Might not be the best deal I could have gotten, but it seemed pretty decent :)

If you want someone to play through them with you, you can add me on steam @whiskeystrike. I spent a lot of time playing the first Borderlands on PS3 and know it like the back of my hand.
