i already had the disc version of borderlands, but since it was on sale and i didn't have the dlc, i picked it up earlier today.

If you purchase it on d2d, can you still import it to Steam and get the achievements and everything else Steam offers?

Unfortunately no. However steam finally answeredmy request and said that they can't sell to me if i'm using a proxy (I wasn't. I even tried buying the game from 4 different wifi networks. None of them worked at all.) But they said they couldn't give me the discount anymore and to look at their other sales. I'm a little steamed with them right now (no pun intended). It's the first time i;ve had to deal with their customer support and they did not treat me well.
