[QUOTE="kieranb2000"][QUOTE="dakan45"] i hope that there are too many people that like that games only for the graphics if you know what i mean....dakan45Is English your first language? Hell no, after all those years without studies i kinda miss some things in the english language. good one and i'm Canadian but i don't care enough for grammar so i've forgotten it
oh wow i think i understand this and i for one don't like users like you just play for fun why do you need more than thattony2077ca
Hey, you know something? "Fun" is subjective. Different people have different idea of what is "fun". I've had fun with simple games when I was a kid, but not any more, I need something more... When I game, I need something that requires me to use my brains too. Well, not all the time, I mean I enjoy Doom too, but I don't want to play nothing but mindless games.
My idea of fun seems to be drastically different from yours. To me, complex, deep and strategic games are fun - and you seem to like the more 'instant gratification' -style games. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but when the developers take franchises that I liked and turn them into total crap because the console audience wants simple games - that's where the BS part comes in.
As I said, everyone was a lot better off when console and PC games were kept seperate. A friend of mine, a console gamer since the NES days, stopped gaming on modern consoles because why bother? - They're just trying to be like PC except with less features and customization. I know a few people on this forum that feel the same way too...

well am a pc gamer too since wolfenstein, but seriously sometimes you need to play something simple and its good there are simple games so new people will be able to get used to complex gaming and a few years later they will re- introduce complex gameplay.[QUOTE="tony2077ca"]oh wow i think i understand this and i for one don't like users like you just play for fun why do you need more than thatHenriH-42

I'll agree with you that fun is subjective, but just because a game is simple doesn't mean it can't be good. Sure, it's fun to play deep complex and strategic games, but it's also fun to get straight into the action. In the same way, The Godfather is one of my favorite movies, with deep complex themes, but that doesn't mean a movie like Shoot 'Em Up isn't enjoyable either. Each is good in their own way. However, borderlands seems to be a strange place to bring this argument up, as it seems like it will have a fair bit of complexity compared to a lot of the games that are "dumbed down" for console. Being a PC gamer for a short time, I've noticed increased quality for sure on PC, and I don't plan on buying any more games for consoles for a while other than Shadow Complex for XBLA. You admitted yourself that Mass Effect had its qualities, so there are obviously exceptions to your apparent rule that consoles dumb down gaming. All I'm asking from people like you is to give each game a fair chance. The game looks interesting. Too bad it releases the day I ship out, guess I can play it 9 weeks later.
can you tell me the re 4 ending because i don't think i'll make it and i think they've forgotten how too well watch it in youtube... ohh the invisible ones at the sewers? Well not really i used shotgun in there, i never runned out of ammo in there but i think there is shotgun ammo lying around there... "you see thats the whole crappy point of re4" It starts be throwing many enemies at you and use many traps (very hardcore for someone who never played before)...after that you got to learn to converse ammo so you wouldnt run into that problem in the level you are right now in the first place (god my stomach hurts:( ) and latter on you face armored enemies with guns... holy christ.... and the irony is in the end you got trcukloads of ammo and the ending boss is easy as hell.

ammo oh how i hate you so[QUOTE="tony2077ca"][QUOTE="kieranb2000"] It isn't Cel-shaded.kieranb2000it is now Go learn what Cel-shading is. This game doesn't use Cel-shading. Stylised graphics != Cel-shading.
I myself dont really know the definition of cel-shaded visuals compared with that of a game that is more "realistic" visuals.
All I know is that Zelda Wind Waker was Cel-shaded.
Can someone explain to me how exactly Mass Effect was supposedly "dumbed down" if it STARTED on consoles?!
mass effect without the coverFrom what I understand this game is gonna be like Diablo, but instead of being a RPG that plays like a hack & slash, its gonna be a RPG that plays like a shooter.

I "was" then they did the only thing that could possibly annoy me... cellshaded graphics.dakan45Same here. Sounds a promising game and a good concept but after they switch to cell shading i'm probably skipping it
Same here. Sounds a promising game and a good concept but after they switch to cell shading i'm probably skipping it i mean seriously look at the new trailer it has nothing to do with the old one, its a sci fi open ended fps, it screams for shinny graphics and serious characters and gameplay like first player...now especially with those 4 characters...well i got to admit i cat take it serious....eg like an epic game.[QUOTE="dakan45"]I "was" then they did the only thing that could possibly annoy me... cellshaded graphics.adamosmaki
Same here. Sounds a promising game and a good concept but after they switch to cell shading i'm probably skipping it Me three. The cell-shading just takes me out of the game. In Prince Of Persia it works, because the game is so dreamy, but it doesn't belong here. The screenshots remind me of bad concept art for Fallout 3. I don't like it at all.[QUOTE="dakan45"]I "was" then they did the only thing that could possibly annoy me... cellshaded graphics.adamosmaki
Gearbox is becoming like the new Treyarch, they just can't wait to get their hands on something and screw it up.

it screams for shinny graphics and serious characters and gameplay like first playerdakan45It doesn't "scream" for anything. Anytime a game tries something different doesn't mean it's wrong. What about TF2? Crazy art style, crazy atmosphere so different from every online shooter out there, but an excellent game in spite (and because of this). If you don't like the look, fine; but don't say that a game should be a certain way just because it doesn't fit your preconceptions.
[QUOTE="Charles_Dickens"]how did they screw it up i didn't know graphic could be that big of a deal Its not about the graphics only, its about the style, its a complete diffirent style now, It used to be a serious sci fi open ended fps with shinny next generation graphics... now its a anime like funny game that has nothing serious in it and those are not what id call next gen graphics. its like picking an mp game like cod4 or battlefied 2 and turning it into team fortress 2 Thats what charles_dickens means: "its becoming something like the new treyarch" The were developing a next gen serious open ended wasteland fps and they turn it into something even more funny looking than team fortress 2.Gearbox is becoming like the new Treyarch, they just can't wait to get their hands on something and screw it up.

WHY?.....Why to try something diffirent the product has been in development for years, why to change it? The only earned extra development time and lost the original fans...... its like it switched fanbase.
No but when it comes to animes i prefer 3d ones, i also prefer 3d games and i prefer the games to fit with the graphics, borderlands fitted just fine, it could be the graphics king and then they decided to turn it into anime style.... this is where i say i hate games who change their original concept especially after years of development.so your one of those people who hate anime am i right well am i

As for borderlands: i will play it but i doubt it will feel the same, the graphics will not fit with the wasteland daylight and the blur effects in the desert, the weapons will be low detailed and they wont worth it either, the characters will look funny and wont remind a wasteland planet at all and the damage idincator is also funny. 2 diffirent trailers with diffirent feeling. prince of persia was about had a deamy style and it fitted just fine but bordelands...well i can already think myself playing and thinking of how it looked back then and how it looks now......no immersion at all, so how its better?so your one of those people who hate anime am i right well am i
