How much junk is in your trunk? Feel free to elaborate or state your speeds....I've got 2x1GB DDR2-800 Corsair XMS2 at 5-5-5-12 and another 1GB stick on the way, myself.

I'm on vista as well...when I saw that I was using 1.9GB of ram while playing Stalker, I figured it was time to grab some more ram...and at 66 bucks a gig, it's not too bad a deal.

2GB of Corsair DDR1-500 on my socket 939 Opteron setup. Just as fast as higher-clocked DDR2, thanks to the nice low latency.:)

You shouldn't run your RAM in 1GBx3, it halves your memory bandwidth. Dual channel was created for a reason.

With that said, memory bandwidth isn't usually a bottleneck, but still your probably not helping yourself by doing that.

Meh, I'll get a fourth stick eventually. Dual Channel is nice, but it hasn't really held me back in the past ;)

1GBx2 DDR2 800 Ballistix, current currently at 5-5-5-15 1000mhz, and to the ram question i suggest 2GB because its becoming pretty standard, specially whenever i play BF2 you all should know what i mean. but as of right now, the highest memory used for me is around 1.2-1.5gb, more than 2gb to me right know is overkill. but that will soon change im pretty sure...

2x512MB ddr-400 @ 250mhz 2.5-3-3-6. i've thought about adding another 512mb, but i'll just wait for the overhaul with either a C2D/2gb or K10 dual core/2gb. Depending on when i have the cash.

2x1gb Corsair DDR2 667mhz valuse select ram :\
i know its not lightning fast and doesnt have a fancy ramsink

but at the end of the day, as far as ram goes, capacity>speed.
2gb is easily enough for me atm, especially as im still using XP
but when the time comes i wont hesitate to chuck in another 2gb :)

also, laptop has 2x256mb DDR infinion ram
old comp has 512mb elixer DDR 400mhz ram.

I have 2 gigs in my comp at the moment. I'm gonna upgrade soon. I found some 1GB Kingston modules online for $45 a pop.
