I dont want DX10 because I will upgrade that when I NEED dx10 I was looking at a 189$ BFG 7950GT so can someone build me a nice 1000$ DX9 setup w/o moniter and Vista basic. Thanks! Also I would like Mini ATX for cooling reasons but if there are no good ones then ATX.

Wow, this stuff is cheaper than I thought, Although I would probably get a different PSU. For under $75, Antec PSU's are pretty good

You want micro-ATX for cooling reasons? Those are almost always hotter than standard ATX boards. That being said, there aren't any decent Micro-ATX boards for a Core 2 Duo processor anyway, at least not compared to what you can get in the standard ATX format.

That being said, you can get a good 965P/650i board, an E6420, X1950XT (which is faster than the 7950GT), 2x1GB DDR2 800 RAM, Lite-On SATA DVD RW drive, Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB drive, Cooler Master Centurion 5 case, and Silverstone ST50EF-Plus power supply for $915 shipped. Throw in a copy of Windows XP, and that'll make your grand - if you already have it, you can upgrade the processor, get a bigger hard drive, add some lights, get an aftermarket CPU cooler, new case fans, or whatever you want.

Get a HX620, 100watt more than the HX520, so there's even more power.

No kidding? Why would he need that much power right off the bat though? The HX520 can handle two 8800GTS cards in SLI if he gets the setup I recommended, or any of the others I've seen here.

Umm.. you would be stupid to get the 7950gt. Yes, the 8800 supports dx10, but it still crushes the 7950gt in dx9.

Look through these benchies. 60% faster is pretty significant. They don't have the 320MB version though, so this only really applies for 1280x1024 and below.
