If it won't fit, then you should get a get a hard drive cooler and then fit it in your drive bays. It think it'd be a nice solution since it also cools your hd

EDIT: oops, wrong link, lol. sry. here ya go

Take out the one of the 3 bottom cages (the ones with a fan), then slide it in with the metal cover facing up and the SATA II ports facing towards your mobo. It should fit as it is compliant with the hard drive standard unless your Antec 1200 came all fuglied up.

On your hard drive, the metal cover with the large sticker. Make sure that is facing up. And your hard drive should be resting on these metal slots jutting out (there are 3 levels of metal slots for 3 hard drives to fit in) so that you push it in all the way so that it lines up with the screw holes on the side.

If one of the cages has a plastic thing around it towards the rear end, that is the fan holder and you should remove that.

I currently have my Antec 1200 open and am puzzled at how your hard drive is not able to fit.

What plastic thing? it fits but not entirely the harddrive is bigger and it has 3 screw holes while each of the 3 cases ( to fit the harddrives in the antec1200) has only 2 holes :s

Screw in two screws then. If your hard drive juts out of the cage, that is normal, don't worry about it. (if that was what you were talking about). Just screw in the screws in the cage and they will go in. don't worry about the three holes as that is probably for different hard drive holding configurations.

just don't touch the bottom of the CPu, don't touch the pins on the mobo, hold it by the side, and don't be afraid if the latch won't go down easily and makes a crunching sound (it is supposed to).

First it should have a LGA-1336 Clip : then i donno you must read the manuel and put it in good piece. it was my dad who putted the Thermalright 120 True in my Cm 690 i must say it took a good 15 minute of looking lol : i say installing cooler is the most annoying part in pc-build :P

Ram go in : video card go in : PSU go like Easy.. : hard Drive Piece of cake!! : it just the Cpu cooler & Thermalpaste application on the CPU that Really a bother It so easy put a processor :P you just go slowly. it clip automaticly but anyway i hope you get trough it soon

But there is a small problem, i cant find the slot where the monitor is connected ( monitor>desktop) it seem like the motherboard doesnt have that slot :s not even a HDMI cable ( i m using the ASUS P6t7 deluxe 2) so by the looks of it i would need to buy a VIDEO CARD? ( havent bought one cus i didnt have enough for everything)

LOL! This thread is full of win. This is why you always double, triple, quadruple check your components before dropping 1k on a new PC. Oh yeah, and make sure you thank your mommy.

I don't know what your case looks like, but you might be able to do a "Frankenstein" job and use a vertical mounting bracket for your HDD.

I had an old eMachine case I put together for my parents and the HDD was installed vertically along the front-inside of the case. It actually saved a ton of room, considering it was a mATX board/case.

Just a thought. I'd look for a HDD adjustable mounting kit or somethng like that.

just letting you know suggesiton go with w/e you can afford : I hope you enjoy ur system alot and perform overclock in future on ur core i7 920 :D

lol poor you daytona. if it did hurt you lol anyway : I know it sad to build a pc wtihout a video card in first place. specialyl after spend 1000$ on it
like a 1200W PSU he was probabely thinking to save until 5870 and play on some low-grade game. lol

I say if he want someting Great 4890 1GB + overclock = 189-220$ and it can be overclock tough some ver are overclock but basically you can do what they did at home in overclocked ver specially if they don't have aftermarket cooler on it (different then stock cooler)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161276 4890 1GB : if you overclock 4890 1GB > 275GTX / 285GTx = more power

Anyway 275GTx is Quite good too but more like a 280GTX with a small tweaking

while 4890 1GB is Basically a 4870 improved to run at higher Frequancy :P which is why it so good for a card and that lot of peopel talk about it

just letting you know suggesiton go with w/e you can afford : I hope you enjoy ur system alot and perform overclock in future on ur core i7 920 :D

This makes for a great read. Yes the first time can be a little scary, but as long s you apply even pressure straight on you would be hard pressed to break something. Bending a pin on your proc... yes that is possible lol.

As for Nvidia being better than ATI that is just speculation and fanboyism. Take it from somebody who has seen a lot of benchmarks. Most of the time, a similar priced ATI and Nvidia card perform... similarly!! There are some games that the Nvidia does better in, and some games that the ATI does better in. Buy what you want.

They're just companies. Nvidia makes better stream processors but you get many more on an ATI card for the price. ATIs do tend to run a bit hotter and louder but it's not really a deciding factor IMO, just follow the benchmarks.
