I am totally burned out on games. Maybe it's because so many came out at once. I have all the good ones; Crysis, Bioshock, WiC, CoH, GoW, Witcher, Stalker, Orange Box, Madden, Race 07, Top Spin 2, MotoGP 07, FIFA 08, Sims 2, Fear, TDU, Oblivion, Settlers, etc. etc. etc.

I have only finished about half of them but I just have no desire to play any of them. Anyone else burned out like me? For the first time of my life im just sick of video games... :(

I usually buy 1 game at a time and buy a new one only after I'm tired of the previous.

I get the same feeling from time to time.

Sometimes I think I want to play, but when I start gaming....I just think "Eh. This is boring. None of my games sound like to play." So I find other things to do with my time. Sometimes I'll go a few days before the joy of gaming comes back and sometimes it's a few weeks. My longest time without playing games would be about 6 weeks.

If you feel yourself getting bored of gaming, find something else to do with your time. You may or may not come back to gaming, but most of us do.

Rescue a dog from the pound, if you have one already then take it for long walks everyday. Soon you'll find that games are fun again and you have a new friend. What I'm getting at is put your focus on something else that is not "you" and the fun in gaming will come back.

lol dunno if you were being rude or not..but thats one of the best answers. i got like that with games, got sick of them all coz i have so many. i actually finished all of my games except gears of war for PC, which i just cannot be bothered playing yet. now i just take it one game at a time, instead of buying each new game at once, then being left with the decision of which to play. which would lead to a burn out and some of the games not ever being played.

but yeah reading is a perfect replacement.

some good books, anything by Clive Barker. also, my favourite book (and movie) in case you didnt tell by my avatar, is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson. awesome read.

Digital Fortress by Dan Brown is sick for us PC nerds. same with Paranoia by Joseph Finder, if you like corporate thrillers.

No, don't read a book, that's another solitary indoor thing. I could of had a sex life if I hadn't been playing video games from 13-22 non-stop.

Long time gamer here since 1983. The day I get burnt out on video games is the day I hang up my joystick for good. Shame on you for bringing up such a topic, now get out there and finish those games!

Clive Barker is the best author I've ever read hands down. Nice to see his name in the forum without Jericho attached to it.

Well if your going to read books I recommend Star wars: revenge of the sith novelization, Death Star, Path of Destruction, and Darth Bane: rule of two.

All fantastic books that will blow you away, you will simply love the sith after reading the last two books.
