I'm back again, and this time it is a very recent game, in fact, this game was just released this february. It is Burnout Paradise, and despite it's system requirements (2.8 ghz P4, 1gb ram, 128 mb vram requires shader model 3), it is actually pretty light on a system. I would actually go as far as to say that if you can run "Need for Speed: Most Wanted", You can run "Burnout Paradise".

TEST SYSTEM SPEC:

Inte Celeron 2.2 ghz

nVidia 6200 OC 256mb vram

2 gb factory ram

BURNOUT: PARADISE:

The game, at low settings and resolution of 800x600, ran at full speed. I mean no slowdowns what so ever. In fact the only slowdown that I did see while at the settings were not in the game, but in the menu while playing the game!

SETTINGS USED

Screen Resolution - 800x600. 1024x768 yielded about a 25% decrease in speed, so this is not a recommended resolution, but if you feel lucky give it a try.

Texture Qualoty - Standard

Env. Map - Standard

Shadows - Low

Aliasing - off

FINAL OPINION:

This is a very playable game on even this low end system, and that is very surprising considering that this is an EA game. I noticed that when I kept the resolution at 8x6 (800x600 pixels), and turned up the graphical settings except aliasing and soft shadows, the game speed only decreased about 10% - 15% depending if I was doing a challenge or racing. Very interesting test, and this is an awesome game and is worth it if you don't have a powerful system.

burnout is like running hl2, it's easy to run on low end hardware. try fallout 3 or farcry 2
