wow 2500 euro, thats alot, um... might as well get a computer now since, prices aren't going to drop that much in the next 3-4 months. I dont believe Intel is coming out with a new flag ship processors anytime soon, and AMD just released there FX-70 series so you might as well go a head and buy an amazing computer now. Just remember to get a DX10 graphics card and atleast 2GB of RAM.

I reckon if you can wait, then wait - you will get more for your money at least, and have a better choice of DX10 cards, plus newer drivers for Vista.....

However, if your PC is on its last legs, its not a bad time to buy - I just got a new rig last month.

Do I need a upgrade if I had a gtx8800 and there is a better card on the market? So can I have a 8800 the whole year 2007?

the 8800gtx wnt need an upgrade for another 2 years and it should run games fine in 2 years depending on resolution.

Probably even more, since DX10 penetration is so slow thanks to MS only offering it with Vista.
