Yeah, it will all work together. That hard drive is pretty small though.

Seems fine to me. However, since your board supports it, why not get some faster 1600Mhz (or above) RAM?

I've read around that X4 965 has issues with overclocking to 1600MHZ and they cost more than twice the price of the ram I chose at the moment.

AM3/Phenom II platforms show almost no gain in performance from DDR3-1600 versus 1333 RAM. I have 1600 RAM, and I wish I hadn't spent the extra money on it.

Well, I'm glad I got 1600Mhz RAM, because overclocking my i7-920 to 3.8Ghz would not have been possible without it.

Your setup should work fine.

Same pretty much goes for Intel as well. There isn't a noticeable difference between 1066 and 1600 let alone 1333 and 1600. Generally, 1600MHz RAM (and higher) can make overclocking the cpu a little easier and help it go a little higher. At least from what I understand. I'm glad I got mine before the prices skyrocketed.

Yeah, it would be more useful for you, since when you OC your chip it overclocks other system components too. For me I just up the multiplier of the CPU and leave everything else the same, so my RAM speed isn't affected by an overclock.

Looks good, i would suggest a jump to the amd 6850 or the nvidia gtx 460 1gb. The performance increase is great and those cards go for about 180 and 200 respectively unless you find a deal. (which most people around here do)

I'd change the GPU to a Sapphire 6870 and the motherboard to a Gigabyte 870A-UD3.

I wouldn't say generally as the AMD BE has an unlocked multipler it wont matter much for OC'ing with a top end AMD CPU. "K" CPU's and "X"/Xtreme or Extreme ed. from intel also have unlocked multiplers while they more unusual than the Ph2 BE. For thoose i wont matter a great deal to use anything above 1333Mhz ram.

I don't get why people want to purchase Blue and Green Western Digital hard drives. First of all, Black beats all of them and uses sightly more power. Even with such little power increase, hard drives in general do not consume that much to begin with.

Break down:

BLACK > BLUE > GREEN; Go Black hard-drives!

Yes why dont HDD's use the same power saving feuture as other hardware does? I'd like the HDD to use power saving mode and go down to 5200rpm whenever it isn't used! The direct impact should be very low as it'll be only the first time you use it it'll be slow. (5200rpm's)

That will slow your whole system down.

Yes the first time i acsess the PC it'll be like anyother 5200RPM drive otherwice it would perform like the best mercanic drive, i would buy one becauxe it would be more silent and actually perform very near the 7200prm drive when in use.

Those are WD's Green drivers and they are sloooow. Normal HDD's are quiet enough.
