Hey all,
As you can assume from the title, I am currently looking to purchase a notebook for my study and entertainment. I have two in mind at the moment (they are subject to change if a better notebook is released soon), but I am pretty confused with the CPU specs between the two.
I have always used intel so I sort of know what to expect in terms of speeds and such. However, I don't really understand how they compare to AMD.
Two options I'm surveying at the moment are either: the Intel Core2 Duo P8400 2.26 1066
Or the AMD Turion™ X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-74 (2.2GHz, 1MB L2 Cache).
Here are the laptops in particular that I have found the info from (baring in mind that these are New Zealand prices).
Toshiba A300/M01
HP DV5-1210AX
Also, ignore the sale price on the toshiba. I can actually get the HP for about $200 cheaper than the Toshiba regardless :P
Your input is appreciated, just understanding how that particular intel CPU compares to that particular AMD CPU (which is faster etc).
Cheers
