Buying Sims 2, BUT....

I'm buying the Sims2 game but im not sure which one to get. Like if I buy Sims2 seasons, does that mean i have also bought sims2, but with season stuff or is it like just buying files for the sims2 game. and if i do buy the regular sims2 game, is all the other content, like seasons, and items free to download from the site or do you have to pay an additional fee?

true, there are so many sims games out there. And.... I cant believe i didnt think about checking the game requirements. Thnx

You have to have the core "The Sims 2" first.  All the others are just EPs and will not run, or even install without the core Sims 2 game.

The content in the EPs is ONLY availible in the EPs and can not be downloaded from anywhere.  The stuff you can download from the site is aditional to the EPS and some of those downloads need the core EP files to work.
