C2D To C2Q

I'm thinking about upgrading my processor from a C2D E6750 OC @ 3.0GHz to a C2Q 8200 2.33GHz. So do you guy's think its worth upgrading or should i just keep what i have??

It depends. Is there a specific game you are having troubles running? Video and or audio encoding taking too long? If so then Quad can be better. Although it's not a massive upgrade. I would wait a bit until you do find a situation where your processor is struggling, then upgrade. What type of video card have you got? For games, depending on your video card, maybe that might be a better upgrade at the moment.
I'd wait till the next series of Intel processors come out, then the I7's will drop. It's better to go 2-3x steps up, rather than take baby steps with upgrading.

It all depends how CPU bound the game or program your running is. Games like crysis or cod4 wont have any difference and would most likly run slower with that quad core! Were as with World in Conflict you might see a boost since its cpu bound, but then again with a slow quad like that you probly wouldnt see improvements even with something thats coded for it.

I was tempted myself latly to move up to quad but after looking into it, its just not that needed for gaming yet. In a few years when the games catch up to the tech (they're starting too) it will be better, wait for a good one like the Q9400 or Q9550 to get really cheap or move up to i7 if you can afford it!

What do you use your computer for? If it's just a bit of gaming then E6750 OC should still be fine. If you use your computer to play newer quad optimised games like GTAIV the quad core will do great about 15FPS better. If you do a lot of encoding the quad will also be better.
