I tried running Call of Duty 2 at 1680 x 1050 and I didn't get a good steady framerate (30-40 dipping into the low 20s) so I decided to lower the resolution. When I did that, my framerate actually dropped! It went down to a steady 25-30, sometimes 5-10. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this? I have Call of Duty updated to 1.3 and my system specs are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750

2 GB RAM

x1950 PRO

I'm not good but heres my Suggestions

1. Turn off Anti-aliasing

2. Turn shadows off or low

3. Detail? Low?

You could try disabling FSAA. That might help. See if this happening all the time or only during heavy battle sequences when there is a lot of smoke and gun fire.

Try changing some of the options. Also make sure that there are no programs running the background, because I am able to play Call of Duty 2 on high settings with FSAA, and getting decent framerates. Your comptuer is way better than mine, you should be fine.

First off kill the anti aliasing and then if that doesn't work lower the resolution. Call of Duty 2 from my experiences is kind of a **** on the ROPs from all the z-buffering it needs to get all the details onto your screen. Thank God my 8800GTS 320MB slaps it around :D

I recommend installing the latest patch for Call of Duty 2.

Also make sure your drivers are up to date.

While I do have all settings on high and AA off, that's not the problem I am having. When I lower my resolution, my framerate also gets lower. So if I run the game at 1680x1050 I get a framerate of 30-40, but if I run it at 1280x768 I get a framerate of 20-30.
