You don't really want one of the Treyarch developed CoDs on PC now do you? Yeah, the Infinity Ward developed ones (on PC) are the better series. Let's keep it that way.

the real call of duty 3, which i believe is currently called call of duty 4 (those crazy guys), is being developed by infinity ward and is very much on its way to pc, according to the reports
How many more people are going to ask this? Call of Duty 3 is developed by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. It's the same with CoD2: Big Red One. Treyarch developed that as well. Infinity Ward are developing the new Call of Duty game, for the PC.

here - there are reports like this all over the net, just google call of duty 4
but nothing has been confirmed or announced, so it's hardly anything to be taken as a certainty - but just consider that infinity ward is - obviously - working on a new game, has thoroughly supported the pc in the past, and call of duty is a very well established ip - so it's more than probable that infinity ward is working on a new call of duty game for at least pc
Thats nothing to do with it. Call of Duty 3 was developed by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward. The same company developed Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (A console exclusive).
