I'd be surprised if it's actually called Call of Duty 6, though. They slipped a subtitle in with CoD 4 as the transitional title and Call of Duty 5 doesn't even have a numeral. Makes sense when you think about it. There are certain connotations associated with large numerals.
Personally, I think they should call it Call of Duty 2009.
What?! , we all know that call of duty is good but i'm getting bored by all these games of the same old theme in just other times . Why don't they just make up a new game series instead of trying to milk a dead cow.
The Call of Duty franchise is just plain fun in a box. One of my favorite FPS games ever and i've played them all on the PC...I keep coming back to CoD. I was hooked on BF2 for awhile bought the expansion etc. but something about the CoD franchise keeps me playing.
the COD series are amazing but its true that they do have to do something different. Im not sure but COD4 seems around modern day time while COD5 seems like Vietnam? I could be completely wrong though. I just hope that they dont go back to WW2 in COD6 or if they do they need to put a BIG twist in it, maybe do the axis campaign and do the "What If" scenario for Hitlers success, but that would be really dark .

What makes you think Call of Duty 6 will be any different? Call of Duty 4 certainly didn't do anything new, besides the setting, but that hardly changes how the game plays.
?????? am looking for a morden guns mod for cod2 as for cod6 well ill put it this way judging by cod 3 on consoles and cod 2 mp and cod 4 is more like cs for new gamers dont like cod 2 so propably cod 6 go the same way morden and cod 6 a new ww2 so everyone is happy and the sp is hort, for me a cod2 size with cod 4 gameplay will be awesoem i could spend ages in that kinda game, also the only reason is that cod4 is arcade is because all guns are auto and very esy to kill many enemies not cod 2 rilfes!

It probebly won't end up like that though. If they named it something like COD: Futuristic Awesome Warfare, it might take away some of the thunder from COD5. People might think they might as well stick with MW and skip over 5.
