A site here has information on Call of Duty 5.

Check it out!!

EDIT: I'm fairly sure this will be for PC and not just Xbox360. So sorry if this might seem like an "off topic"

And this time they have specific teams working on all the different versions, with the Xbox 360 version acting as the lead.

They are making all different versions, including PC.. just the XBox 360 is the "lead" one.

Sounds like this might be getting a 18 rating, Still this is also made be Treyarch not IW so I'm not too sure I may even pick this up.

For Call of Duty, we'll bring the intensity of the recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title to yet a new military theater, to engage our significantly larger user based, which nearly doubled last year as new users came into the franchise.

We'll launch on all four platforms we participated on in fiscal 2008 plus we will launch on the PS2 and the Wii. We'll drive category sales of downloadable maps and enhanced Call of Duty 4 retail SKUs.

Does that satisfy you?:)

All four, meaning, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo DS and later for Wii and PS2.

I don't know what's worse, treyarch developing the title or the game being in ww2 again.

Treyarch developing it IMO. I could stomach another WW2 game as long as it was good but I have very little faith in the developing skills at Treyarch.

Ugh.

Well, whatever. I'm pleased it's going back to WW2 - and I'm pleased it's focusing on different parts of the war so it's not just CoD 1/2 redux, but I'm a little disappointed that there's no British involvement.

Also, I think it's a little premature to assume that this game will be released on PC. Treyarch's last CoD game wasn't, why will this one be any different? It could very easily be a PSWii60 deal.

Anyway, I've lost faith in the CoD series, I've list faith in IW and Treyarch has never impressed me. Some of the things sound cool, butit's gonna take a lot to convince me to even think about buying it - assuming it's even coming to PC which, right now, I don't think is a reasonable assumption.

They have had two years of development time, rather than the 11 months they had for Call of Duty 3.

Yay.

Damn. more WW2 games? I guess Treyarch didn't want to compete too much with IW by continuing with the modern set. That's probably why they chose the "overdone too many times" WW2 scenario so that comparisions would be minimal. Can't really blame them for that. Don't get me wrong, i don't mind the WW2 theme in itself as long as the story is good. I just don't think i can stand the jungle gunfights and/or the old, outdated and annoying one-shot-reload guns. I loved the MOH and COD series though.

From what ive read, this cod will be much more brutal, but the ww2 series is overdone, maybe except the brother in arms series because of its tactical flank and supress system. If treyarch can get there stuff together, just maybe this cod will be decent.

The Ultimate screw up there was they never released it on PC, the place where the series was born.

Not only is WW2 really overused and SHOULD be dead, but these idiots are making another Call of Duty! I knew this already, but I might as well say it again.

COD3 sucked ass, and so will this one. But the real sad thing, is SOO many of those new call of duty fans who don't pay attention to who develops what are going to go pick up this crap-pile and actually expect something as good as COD4 :|

I am going to be skeptical about this new CoD from the get-go, as I don't have much faith in Treyarch creating a COD game that will be appealing on all of the developed platforms.

sounds like its going to be console based. II think the seriese will lose its luster and CoD4 will prove to be too difficult to top.
