Nope I think a 8600gt ddr3 would have problems too.

Yes, but if it can't max it out, it will get pretty close.

No, my 8800 gts has trouble maxing it out at 1280*1024.

i have a BFG 8800 gts 320 mb and i can max out assassins creed (at 1280 x 1024) with a very good frame rate. i dont think an 8600 could from the benchmarks i have seen around comparing the 8600 and 8800
