Asus N50V series (I have an Asus N50VN-X6 that runs games smooth - including newer gen like Fallout 3, Mass Effect, etc)

I picked THIS ONE (Gateway FX Edition P-7805u) up about a month ago for a little over a grand and I've been loving it. Crysis has been the only game I've tried out that I couldn't play with Max Settings... on the other hand, Bioshock, for instance, runs like Wolfenstein 3D at Max Settings.

My only beef with it is that they put the Function key where I'm used to CTRL being, and it takes a LOT of getting used to.

I have the same one (with the same one complaint), was just about to post it for him to check out. Something to note on this laptop, there are actually two different screens you can potentially get the 1440 by 900 is the current one, there's also an older release that had a 1600 by 1900 screen if you can find it. There is a way to tell which it is by the barcode but I can't remember what the number/letter is to look for. If you decide to look into this you might want to look that up. Either way it's been a very good laptop.
