*Topic * .. thanks in advance AmrikoveIt'll be fine. They designed the spec to be forward-compatible, much like USB 2.0. Plus a PCI Ex 2.0 card in a PCI Ex 1.0 slot, and it'll behave like a PCI Ex 1.0 card--slower than it's supposed to be, but it'll still work.
Oh, you mean about running Card (PCIe x16) in PCIe 2.0 slot. Yes it will run because PCIe 2 is backward compatibleSearchMasterOther way. PCIe 2.0 card in PCIe 1.0 slot. Will work, too, since PCIe 2.0 cards are (by spec) forward-compatible. They'll simply run at the older standard's slower speeds.

Its just simple to say its backware compatible to run your Card on PCIe 2.0 and if your card is new then it will run fine also on PCIe x16 slot

PCI Express 2.0 is both backward- and forward-compatible. Backward-compatible means you can plug a 1.0 card in a 2.0 slot. That's expected. Forward-compatible is the converse: a 2.0 card will work in a 1.0 slot.
