Hello, and thanks for reading and helping me with your knowledge. I am intrested in recording games such as Mw2 and BFBC2 using Fraps. At this moment im getting a fairly good record speed at 35-45fps (using fraps) on my rig which is 2gb of ddr2 ram, 2x ATI radion 4850 video cards (512mb) and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Duel Core Processor 5200 + 2.70 GHz. Tell me what i should improve to get better results, I think adding two more 1gb ram sticks as i have 2 extra slots. Clearly people here have more exp with computers as me, as im 14 but any advise would be very helpful.

Thanks

ram will do nothing but give u like 2 more fps, getting a X4 AMD cpu would greatly help in recording with Fraps

The Athlon II X4 CPU's are decent units for their price. If you can't stretch to a Phenom II X4 then the Athlon II is fine... It'll certainly be a big upgrade from your current CPU.

Ram does matter, if it freezes or choke for a few seconds. Check how much ram your using with fraps on, difference between 2gb to 3gb can be a worlds difference if you run out of memory.

30 fps is fine for a video, dont need to crank up that high.
