It should handle it, however, your processor is already decent, it's your graphics card that is lacking.

idunno, imo motherboards are built to last.

if you have a quality mobo, it should easily last you 3+ years. Granted, if youre a technophile, youre going to want the latest and greatest, but it is the other components I would be most concerned about

as of right now, I think you need to swap out that video card. 9500 is "meh"

I don't think they can, it doesn't seem like it's logical. The motherboard pretty much houses the components, it's not really competing with other parts..so I don't think it can bottleneck a CPU.

if your mobo is a low end one i recommend upgrading it. i had a 50$ Asus mobo and it was a pain in the ass. no OCing capabilities, very limited functionality, and really crapy handling of the components. my current mobo is a Gigabyte one, got it for around 100$, and its great.

The processor speed bump isn't going to amount to much. Keep the proc you have or go quad-core.

Yep, get a strong one! Although most cards are better than a 9500gt so you should be satisfied! I'd aim for something of power 4870 or better, 5750 or better, GTX 260 or better. BTW the best time to buy a new gfx card will be a month and a half time! But don't wait too long.

It's useless to know that motherboards with nVidia chipsets force you to increase CPU/RAM latency in order to use a decent video card?? Pffft...
