I think it is JUST the graphics what everyone is hyping about. But the problem is, nobody can afford a pc capable of running it!VinnoTKeep in mind Crytek are still in the process of optimizing.

Some can :) I'll be running it quite nicely. Not maxed but should still look really good. I want another 8800GTX but don't really want to fork out the cash for one just to max it out (hopefully that would)
It's all about the huge, open environments that let you blow just about anything up, from trees to small shacks to whatever. And then there's the fact that vehicles don't have a simple damage model ala Battlefield, Far Cry, etc. anymore. You can shoot off wheels and stuff, as well as damage the tail rotor of a helicopter and watch the pilot struggle to keep the thing spinning like a top. Then there's the customizable weapons, which isn't exactly a new feature(System Shock and Deus Ex already had it in a sense), but isn't used enough in new games. And then the nanosuit modes, which give a new element of strategy to what is otherwise a stale genre. (For instance, when shooting at someone, do you use strength mode to keep recoil down, or do you use armor mode so that you can absorb the return fire? Or, if you're on the other end, do you use armor mode to absorb the punishment, or speed mode to get to safety faster? Or maybe you can use elaborate combos, like rushing up to someone in speed mode, then quickly switching to strength mode and Falcon Punch your foe right in the face!) If anything, the high-quality graphics are just the icing on that delicious cake.NamelessPlayer
