can you hook a pc up to a hd tv if it has hdmi?

many new video cards have hdmi out. and they pretty much all have dvi to hdmi converters for the rest

Or you can use s-video to hd component too.

That's a big yes, I've done it a few times, had some problems with audio though, can't remember how i got around them though :P

Yes, if your computer has an HDMI port you can use a HDMI-DVI cable to connect it to your GPU from your HDTV. I do it all the time with my Plasma. If your graphics card has an HDMI port on it you may only need a regular HDMI cable.

Indeed. I took my tower home with me for Thanksgiving and hooked it up to my folks' 52". 'Twas so cash.
