Can you recommend an RTS that plays like Company of Heroes?

I am currently playing Company of Heroes and loving every minute of it.  I am not a fan of the classic RTS style. (i.e. Age of Empires)  I find it boring and overused by too many clones.  I enjoy real-time strategy games that try something new or maybe blend different genres together.  I find Company of Heroes that type of game.  The gameplay style is addictive.  I love the destructible environment, the cover concept, flanking bonuses, mission scenarios, and even the cutscenes that provide good info on D-Day strategy.  This game almost reminds me of that classic RTS Syndicate.  It also has a lot of similar traits as Freedom Force.

Can anyone recommend a game that reminds them of Company of Heroes?  A similar style RTS?  I'm looking for more RTS games like this one. :)

you might want to check out joint task force, it was hyped about, and forgotten when company of heroes came out, but its a pretty darn good game, i think.

I haven't played it in awhile, but Codename: Panzer's(I & II) really reminds me of COH. I think it focuses on the Germans side, also.

I agree Joint Task Force was a jem of a game.. just the cutscenes just BLEW.. I could forgo the crappy storyline and bad voice acting for a game that offered excellent gameplay.. which it did deliver on that.. just the last few levels just left me kind of bored after maxing most of my officer pool.

I would also recommend Act of War and High Treason (its expansion) :)

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. Some of these games I have never heard of. I'll be sure to check them out. To the person above me, Act of War is a game that has always intrigued me, and I also thought of that game. I think I'll have to buy it now.

try the total war series, they may not be exactly what you are looking for, but they are also very combat oriented. World In Conflict, it is not out yet, but sounds similar to what you want.

Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War might appeal to you. I'd suggest downloading the demo first.

Yeah, I would suggest the same thing. I really love CoH and I also love Dawn of War. Relic did such a great job with those games.

Company of Heroes is based on Dawn of War. Go pick up Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, if you really like it. Get the Dawn of War, and Winter Assault so you can play with all 7 races online.

Buy both for the love of god!!! It has been one of the most forgotten about and underrated games sinse its release over a year ago... But i do agree that Dawn of War and all of its expansions are fun as hell, as well as the Total War Series... but total war is a very different experience than most RTS's... its very involved much like Europa Universalis III

Yeah Company of Heroes gameplay was heavily based off of DOW. It is the same company after all. The only thing is some people get put off by the content. I personally love the Warhammer universe. If Warhammer doesnt float your boat I agree with some of the other posts and Panzers Phase 1,2 are your best bets. Also if tactics are your thing, try out some of the Total War series.

Yeah, some vastly overlooked, and vastly underrated WW2 RTS's, called Codename Panzers 1 and 2.They are very, very similar to CoH, and, actually, in some ways, i think better.
