Cant play dayz

I just got the Arma 2 complete collection and dowloaded dayz.But it wont let me play dayz everytime i try to join a server it either says bad version or says waiting for host and never loads.

are you using DayZ commander? thats the best way to connect imo.. installs the mod and will keep everything updated for you

You need to be running the mod and the beta version of ArmA 2. I believe you can download the mod on the Steam Workshop and run the beta version of ArmA 2 via Steam now.

1. Download DayZ Commander

2. Download the things it says to (update dayz, update arma2 beta update,etc..)

Should work, most friends of mien who had issues ended up having no probelm with dayzcommander.

Or you can use the steam dayz entry if you want as Wasdie said.

i play without the beta?

You have to specifically install the beta or have an app do it for you (Play with SIX, Dayz commander).

Pickup Dayz Commander for simplicity sake but later get Play with SIX for all the ARMA2 mods!
