Looks like Capcom heard the PC community and removed some of the DRM. Previously, if you weren't online you were restricted to 15 of the 39 characters for all offline modes. This is great news and I'm now more than willing to purchase the game. Thoughts?

I wasn't worried when they announced these measures and I'm not more excited about it now that they'll remove the limitations, I'm just waiting for the game to be released :P/

I still wouldn't buy something that is dependent on an Internet connection to install and function correctly. It has nothing to do with the fact that I don't have readily available Internet access, because I do. It actually has more to do with a matter of principle. As I always say: any DRM that requires an Internet connection to get my game working can go to hell.

Gamer power wins again. Loved SFIV, so I'm looking forward to the game.

It would have been absolutely ridiculous to do the offline SP limiting. It would hurt consumers and if anything it would encourage the game to be pirated by the offline crowd. It WILL be cracked to be fully operational offline, no popular game has not been.
